Elarion Ru Sarion (he/him) is the oldest living person in Sylvaris, a high elf more than a thousand years old. He was still a child by elven reckoning on the day of the First Shattering. From hundreds of miles away he watched Klythar tear the world apart, as whole cities were wiped clean in a single attack and fragments of the Ebon Moon fell from the sky like meteors. After several hours everything went silent, and the dragon god was gone.
Life
Elarion spent the long centuries that followed as an archaeologist, digging through the ruins of the world he once knew. He's retired now and lives quietly in Verdantspire. He holds no office and stays out of politics, but the whole city respects him for his age and wisdom. His home is full of relics from before the Shattering, gathered over a lifetime of digging, and people come to him with questions about the old world, which he answers patiently.
Appearance
Elarion looks truly old, which is a startling sight in an elf. His skin is thin and deeply lined, his long hair has gone fully white, and he walks with a staff and a slight stoop. His pale eyes are still sharp, and so is his mind. Most elves never show their age at all, so many visitors stop and stare the first time they meet him.
