Ishmael is a giant white sky whale with a golden, narwhal-like horn and feathers along his tail and fins. He is a manifestation of a force of nature. The storms seen from Wavecrest form around him wherever he flies, and he glides within their calm eye. Only a few people have ever seen him: those who tried to ride out the storm, and those trying to prove they weren't crazy.
