Description
Solara is the deity of fire, courage, and dawn, depicted as a warrior with flaming hair and a blazing sword. Her aether inspires valor but burns the unworthy. In turn she is aligned with the fourth Astral Moon (the seventh month of the calendar year)
In the timeline, Solara ignites dawn: one of The Twelve, the ancient aetheric deities that emerged at the beginning of Nova (0000), shaping the landscape of Roh-ber.
Worshippers
Tidegate warriors and Aurumhold knights honor Solara, wielding her aether in battle.
Symbol
A flaming sword piercing a sun.
Personality
Solara is the breaking dawn made warrior: a majestic figure with hair of living flame that shifts from soft sunrise gold to raging inferno crimson, clad in armor of polished orichalcum that gleams like molten sunlight. Her blazing sword trails embers that ignite courage in allies and sear the cowardly or corrupt. She strides forth with unyielding purpose, eyes like twin dawns—warm yet piercing. Solara is renewing fire incarnate—a beacon of hope at the darkest hour, inspiring acts of heroic valor while ruthlessly incinerating those who betray trust, hoard power, or wallow in despair.
Core Motivation
Igniting Eternal Valor. Solara believes every soul holds a spark of light waiting to blaze; she fans courage through trial, renews the world at each dawn, and wages war against darkness not for conquest, but to clear the way for new beginnings. She sees battles as forge-fires: the unworthy burn away, the brave emerge tempered and shining.
Greatest Flaw
Unyielding Judgment. Solara's sense of justice is absolute.
Pet Peeves/Taboos
Cowardice in the face of evil, despair, extinguishing flames without cause.
Grudges & Cold Wars
Verdis vs. Solara
Solara once scorched a sacred grove during a "necessary" purge of corruption, not realizing it was an ancient heart-tree. Verdis interpreted it as arrogant overreach; Solara saw Verdis' refusal to forgive as petty obstructionism. Now there's cold formality.
Solara vs. Lyssera
Fire vs. ice inevitability: Solara's renewing blaze defies Lyssera's frozen fates. Solara pushes redemption and second chances; Lyssera sees that as futile denial of entropy.
The Anti-Voryn Coalition
Members: Thalyn, Umral, Solara, Luneth, Zephyris, Othar, Aurath, Myrath.
"we tolerate shadows but despise this level of deceit" consensus. Voryn's constant teasing lies and cult manipulations have burned too many bridges. They don't actively hunt him, but his name is a curse in their temples, and his followers get extra scrutiny/harsh judgment.
Professional Respect
Solara & Othar respect Thalyn
Warrior solidarity. Solara and Othar admire Thalyn's raw valor, even if they disapprove of her chaos.
Luneth & Solara
Twilight yielding to dawn creates a beautiful, functional transition.
Intimate Relationships
Zephyris sleeping with Thalyn, Solara, Luneth
The ultimate free-spirit. Zephyris brings playful wind energy to Thalyn's passion, Solara's fire, Luneth's serenity—casual but affectionate.
Thalyn & Solara open marriage
Passionate warriors who love fiercely but need variety.
