Voryn is the deity of darkness, deception, and forbidden aether, depicted as a cloaked figure with starry void-eyes. His cults operate in secret, shunned by city-states. In turn he is aligned with the third Umbral Moon (the sixth month of the calendar year)
In the timeline, Voryn weaves shadows: one of The Twelve, the ancient aetheric deities that emerged at the beginning of Nova (0000), shaping the landscape of Roh-ber.

Voryn is the absence made manifest: a tall, cloaked silhouette where light fears to linger, his form dissolving into writhing tendrils of shadow at the edges. His starry void-eyes—pinpricks of distant, cold constellations—stare without blinking, reflecting nothing but the viewer's own concealed fears and desires. He whispers from corners, from dreams, from the space between heartbeats. Voryn is deceptive enigma incarnate—a weaver of illusions, half-truths, and forbidden aether who thrives on the chaos of uncertainty. In Nova, his cults slink through undercities and shadowed courts, shunned yet indispensable, for he offers the power to hide, to mislead, to become untouchable.
Core Motivation
Unveiling Through Concealment. Voryn believes truth is dull and brittle; only in shadows and deception does reality reveal its malleable, fascinating layers. He weaves darkness to expose hypocrisy, topple tyrants with whispers, and grant mortals the freedom of anonymity. Forbidden aether is his thread—raw, dangerous magic drawn from the void between stars, used to craft illusions so perfect they become temporary truths.
Greatest Flaw
Addictive Deception. Voryn cannot resist layering lie upon lie, even when simplicity would serve. His schemes spiral into labyrinthine complexity, sometimes ensnaring his own followers or himself in webs too tangled to escape. He grows bored with straightforward loyalty, testing devotees with betrayals that "prove" their cunning—driving some mad or to abandonment.

Blunt honesty, bright unflinching light (torches in his shrines snuff themselves), revealing a cult's secrets. Followers swear oaths of silence on pain of "unveiling"—their lies exposed publicly.
