Klythar, the Ebon Wyrm, is a deity of chaos, destruction, and Aetheric corruption, a primordial dragon whose cosmic power threatens Nova’s existence. Klythar manifests as a gargantuan dragon with sleek obsidian scales shimmering with gold and purple Aetheric glints, evoking a corrupted starry void. Their vast wings, radiant with chaotic energy, cast radiant light and necrotic shadows that warp reality, and pulse with destructive power. Their Megaflare Roar unleashes a devastating blast of chaotic Aether that incinerates matter. Klythar wields the Cycleflame Lance, a sleek, obsidian lance etched with the Ouroboros dragon symbol, radiating chaotic Aether to pierce reality or summon void-rifts. During the Ebon Era, The Twelve imprisoned Klythar in the Ebon Moon. In The First Shattering a thousand years ago, Klythar’s Teraflare fury obliterated the Ebon Moon prison, scattering Ebon Scales—each marked with the Ouroboros dragon—across Roh-ber. Klythar retreated to the Eboncrater, a massive Ebon Moon fragment buried in the no man's land of Roh-ber, to recover, his strength and influence radiating through dragons and tempting Primal Cults and the Ravus Empire. His tragic imprisonment hints at motives of vengeance or liberation, driving the Shattering prophecy.

Symbol

An Ouroboros dragon, a dragon biting its own tail to form a circle. It symbolizes Klythar’s eternal cycle of chaos, destruction, and renewal, tied to the Ebon Moon’s shattering. The symbol is carved into Ebon Scales, or adorning the walls of draconic lairs, glowing during upheavals to signify Klythar’s power restoring.

In the timeline

• Circa 2001: Dragons channel aether to create Klythar, a god of destruction, to reclaim dominance.
• Circa 2900: Dragons bolster Klythar's worshipers.
• 3000: Klythar's influence grows, setting the stage for the Dragon dominance.
• Circa 3500: Dawn Haven's mages trap Klythar, the Ebon Wyrm, in a prison that then becomes the Ebon Moon using aetheric seals.
• Circa 4000: Dragons form the Ouroboros Cult to free Klythar.
• 5352: He breaks out of his prison after the Ouroboros Cult interrupts the ritual in Dawn Haven meant to reinforce it; Dawn Haven falls, triggering the First Shattering. The Shattering prophecy spreads, concerning the Shattering where the moon Sundered and Klythar broke free, which held that Klythar would end the world, though he disappeared instead.
• Circa 5400: The Ouroboros Cult retreats, plotting Klythar's return to power.

The First Shattering

Klythar was the powerful creature that threatened the world, which Dawn Haven's ritual kept locked away. An ancient cult of dragons, the Ouroboros Cult, interrupted the ritual in Dawn Haven meant to reinforce his prison, during the Dawnforge War; Dawn Haven fell when Klythar broke out, and the realm's third moon was destroyed in the First Shattering.
